Nurse Alice is a nationally board certified Clinical Nurse Specialist with over a decade of experience specializing in cardiac medicine. She is a community health activist and involved member of several professional organizations. Most notably she was the first African American nurse elected to the American Nurses Association/California Board of Directors, is a spokesperson and vice chair for the American Heart/Stroke Association Western States Multicultural Task Force, and is a TV/Radio health expert and writer. Some of her television appearances include Dr. Drew On Call, HLN News Now, FOX News, TruTV In Session, America Live with Megyn Kelly, The Doctors, Dr. Steve Show and DC Breakdown. She’s also appeared on a variety of radio shows across the nation as a health expert from Fox News affiliate radio stations, to the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Los Angeles stations KJLH, KDAY and KTLK, and now has her own weekly “Healthy Living with Nurse Alice” radio segment that airs Thursdays 9:25am ET on WENO 760AM The Gospel. She’s also contributed to Fox News Magazine, EBONY, Essence, JET, Loop21 and Rolling Out.
